
Our quality award is the result of an independent inspection carried out by VisitScotland, the national tourist authority for Scotland.
Inspections are carried out annually by a team of trained inspectors who assess the accommodation under a number of sections and award points for detailed criteria in each. Points are awarded for each criterion out of a possible 5 and the score in each section totalled to give a percentage for each.
Lann Dearg is inspected for both Self Catering and Bed and Breakfast, which are assessed using slightly different criteria. In order to achieve a 4 star (Excellent) award an overall score of 70% - 84% is required.
